Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Railway Construction Project
Scope:
The Ankara – Istanbul High Speed Railway Construction Project (2nd stage) is composed of two phases:
- 1st Phase: İnönü-Vezirhan (54 KM)
- 2nd Phase: Vezirhan –Köseköy (104 KM)
Project Details:
The mentioned railway project (158 KM) is being undertaken by CRCC and CMC who are the Chinese state-owned companies and CENGİZ and IC İÇTAŞ who are the Turkish local private companies. Toplam 158 km. uzunluğunda olan söz konusu demiryolu ihalesini Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti devletine ait firmalarına ile yerli firmalar olan ’ın oluşturdukları konsorsiyum üstlenmiştir.
The line has been designed for 250 km/h cruise speed and the contract price is 1.270.000.000 US dollar. 720 million US dollar of the finance was provided from Chinese EximBank and 550 million US dollar was provided from the European Investment Bank..
The construction activities was started in 2007 and the planned completion date is 2013.
Current Situation:
The construction activities of the line are going on.
Mr. Hasan ÇAPAN, acted very important role for getting the aforementioned credit from the Chinese EximBank and he is currently making great effort for this project as the coordinator.
